More then 150 wine growers welcome you

More than 150 wine growers welcome you in the heart of Europe, in the North-East of Italy, and precisely in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, featuring between the most appreciable wine producing areas in the world. We invite you to discover the Cantina Produttori Cormòns, born at the end of the 60s thanks to the far-sightedness of some local wine growers and their love of centuries-old traditions. The passionate presidents Ezio Dalla Pozza, Aldo Moretti, Adriano Drius and Stefano Gregorat have always asserted that the future of wine production is not bound to transient trends but to the firm enhancement of their own land. Thus they established the Cantina, which is unique across the world for its first-grade wines and its many initiatives.

The facets of our history

Our history

The good wine starts in the countryside: the C.P.C. has endorsed the old farmer’s saying, mainly basing its production project on the care of Vineyards, writing a Code of rules and a Countryside notebook, a detailed Code of conduct that every member has to comply with. Here all the details and the exact time of the winter pruning are written down, along with the agronomic and cultivation practices and detailed information about products and quantity. Each member reports the start and the end date of the grapevine phenological stages, in order to achieve a homogenous and high qualitative standard of the grapes. The Countryside notebook is aimed at getting a reliable product with excellent organoleptic qualities; a very limited use of fungicides is envisaged, while a steady supervision of the 400 hectares of vineyards ensures protection from parasites. Eight equipped weather stations, scattered over microclimatic spots record any change in weather, temperature, humidity, sun radiation and rainfall. The collected information is immediately dispatched to the Cantina Produttori Cormòns computer station; here data are carefully examined in order to prevent any irregularity. The Cantina Produttori Cormons manages to control the whole territory and to get exceptional grapes and therefore exceptional wines thanks to a technology which fully respects the old customs.

The Colour of the passion for the wine of our land

The painted barrels.

On several occasions from the early Eighties, about 20 among the major artists of the second half of the twentieth century (such as Zancanaro, Celiberti, Ciussi, Ceschia, Spessot, Benedetti, Crico, Fornarelli, Ornella and Menon, just to mention a few) were invited to paint the Slavonian oak barrels, thus creating a unique art gallery. With their vivid imagination, their different painting styles and techniques, these artists have contributed to making the Cantina Produttori Cormons a reference point in Friuli Venezia Giulia for all the art and wine lovers.

Each single bunch of grapes has a story to tell.
